I went to the movies yesterday and watch one of the best film ever made: Troy
I must say that I'm very critical in terms of movies but man, this movie rules.
In my opinion, Troy fits in the masterpiece category along with movies like Gladiator and Braveheart.
Did anybody see that movie? Comments?

I have not seen it yet, but some gay dude I work with said that Brad Pitt was a sexy beast throught out the movie, plus every one else said it was really good too. I want to see it but I got a wife and kid  woo is me. I haven't seen a theater movie sence the remastered Alien ( H.R. Giger is the best )came back out.

That was not in Iliada (in which the movie is based on)
but in Odyssia which was the tale of Ullyses after the war
of Troy.
I haven't seen the movie and I probably won't see it
until it gets out on dvd.

First i thought this thread is about a guy called "Troy". How the fuck should in know it's Troy, the city, the movie. Man, it's "Troja" in german.
And i saw this movie. I think it sucks. The whole story is a fucking love story. Not just one! No, three!!!!!
I think this little love story in "Lord of the ring" is really enough love for a movie, if you attempt not to go into a love-movie. But why the hell nobody did inform me before??? You can see already at the fighting-scenes, that this movie is for women!!! All deaths are a tragedy. No death is:" Good that he's dead. He was a fuck!!!"
And why the hell did they need 40.000 people for this movie. In close-up-scenes you just see at maximum 200 people. And in the "big scenes" the persons were so small and unclear, they could have done it better with a PC.
I was there with two women and they had fun. I nearly had them with me in "Van Helsing". I think that's a movie for me. But not that!!!
