This thread may be kind of lame, but the chit chat looks a little dull right now...
Have any of you guys ever got stuff off ebay? I just started and i am already very satisfied with what i have got out of it. A few weeks ago i got Hecate enthroned's first album (upon promethean shores). Then just yesterday mithotyn's first (In the sign of the ravens) was in my mailbox. At the moment I have two more cds coming on the way, which are also both mithotyn... You see I already own the second album, and now i have the first, in the new versions. But I had the luck of finding and winning the original releases (old versions) of both the first and second albums. I guess i see it as a collectors sort of thing  . Anyway, what is some of the stuff you guys have obtained through ebay? If you hav'nt, you should consider it. You can get some great and rare things. |

Dont get too use to getting all your shit, I bought a Boss MD-2 and it took like 6 months to arrive. So like 180 bucks and 6 months later I had a pedal with faulty wiring. But the guy replaced it for free, paid shipping and even refunded all my money.

yeah, i am probably always going to be cautious with that place. I try to make sure and read all of the sellers info of what they have to say. And so far the people ive dealt with had very good feedbacks. And im mainly only going to buy cds, new or sometimes used. But yeah ive heard some stories of ebay screwing people over (actually people on ebay screwing other people over). But at least you got refunded.
I guess that can be another thing to add to this thread... Has anybody had any problems with ebay purchases? Or did everything go well?... |

Ebay is awesome and is the place to get any used or rare item for a low price.

yeah, but they do a bunch of that "import cd" which have 1 or 2 extra songs which boost your price up to 30+. And sometimes they dont have the normal versions, which id rather just get for 12. Amazon does that too.
But yeah Darko, ebays the shit for rare items. You can get something for less than 10 when you know if you had to you would pay well over 20. |

i got an Immolation cd and a Deicide CD off e-bay for about 1/3 of the Australian retail price (including postade) but the cases we fairly fucked

i have bought many cds and other stuff off ebay. i try to find the cds in a regular store first because
a)i dont trust people and more importantly
b) the stress of waiting for the last bid is too irritating. people get thoose sniper programs and you dont stand a chance.

yeah, waiting for the last bid is kind of dumb, but ive used the "buy it now" option and there is no frustration with that. I dont even havt to check the stores cause I KNOW that my stores will never have some of the stuff i want.
Hah, wait till the last 2 minutes, fuck, try the last two seconds. It sucks, I bid on something when there was, at the most, 8 seconds, and i lost. Ive lost so many auctions on there, but its ok, cause if i had won all of them id be even more broke than I am.

...and haha, those types of auctions are always never really bid on, so I bid, and win like a week later   .

no, bidding in the last 2 minutes does not always work. i mentioned sniper programs up there, it's a prog that will bid in the last second
