Well, the topic in "How many thrashers are still out there" is probably mine, which would be "Thrasher Anthem" and this thread is for the,well..Thrasher Anthem, and vote fer whoever is left of the amazing breed of thrashers..so...any ideas?

Ozzy and Iron Maiden are thrash??! I thought Maiden was crappy power metal.
And where's Death in your list? A lot of people think of them as Death Metal......maybe cause they're one of the pioneers in the genre, but their style is definitely trash man.
And "South of Heaven"??! Couldn't you have picked a thrashier song by slayer?? Say......oh i dunno, ANGEL OF DEATH?!? WAR ENSEMBLE?!? BLACK MAGIC?!?! RAINING BLOOD?!?! Come on man.......South is such a slow paced song compared to some other classic Slayer tunes.

I personally would've said it in a lot more hostile manner because I'm not sure if anyone mentioned it previous to this posting. DEC is THE greatest thrash song of all time. Slayer, Exodus, Megadeth, etc., obviously all have the greatest collections, but DEC is 'the one' so to speak. |
