The kind of legal implications of a ban on something that is specifically noted to be a personal interpretation of how a piece of music may be played will prevent such a thing from ever happening; not even the most rigorous police state could be that on the ball. Ya know, I think that the worst the MPA can ever do is make it to where we can't "download" or "save target as" to any tab. Most of my music teachers' websites use musical compositions for their course of study. Since that is illegal to give out free mp3s, they just have then to where you can only listen to them on the website--no downloading.
