distortion

i have a zoom tri-metal stomp box, and in my opinion it gives me
an amazingly heavy sound
only problem is...

i have
3 different distortions
chorus
delay
blues breaker
(noise gate)

this is alot of stuff to go wrong, so i want to get a multiFX thing.
only problem is i havent found n e thing that gives me quite the same level of heavy as this pedal (zoom)

is there something?
have i not looked hard enough?

look at the line 6 stuff, the Insane Distortion on those have so much gain , that I play Death Metal and I have my gain turned down to about 50%, and I'm normally the type that always wants more gain

Get the line 6 distortion modulater
it has a built in noise gate, and 4 diffrent channels, so you can use one for a lead boost or something

fuck that, i say keep what you got and put it in a pedalboard so its all organized and powered.
stomp boxes almost always sound way better than multi fx units anyways.

If you want to know about the Zoom GFX-5 pedal board, then check out the "what would be a good effects processor thread". I rambled on about it there. I can get a shitload of heaviness out of it running it through my Peavey 50W Transtube (and that's on the clean channel even). If you set the Gain Boost to 2, you can get alot of gain and it sounds really scratchy and overdriven, heh, like you're cleaning your ear with a wire brush. It kind of complements the amp; I use amp's equaliser as well as the one on the board, and can shape the tone really well.
