A list of 2003's 40 best albums according to the journalists at Terrorizer was published this month. Here goes:

I couldn't believe Heretic or Aeon didn't make the writer's top 40! You could easily get rid of the Deftones and Mars Volta to accomodate them. Machine Head should have been in the top 40 too after a good return to form for them in 2003.
Anyway that's my opinion, I wonder what anyone else here thinks about either of the lists...

i havent seen any lists that have Dechristianize, and thats one of my favourite albums of 2003

Not heard it, but I'm pretty sure it would still be better than Hatebreed. They bore me to tears with that fist-clenching, chest beating, unity ethic. There are so many HC bands that are better then them, they've just got a lot of hype surrounding them. Top 40? No chance!
Psycroptic didn't make it either! I love "The Sceptre Of The Ancients" and I've only had it a week! Definitely in my top 40.

Yeah, Akercocke would get my vote for best album. Not a weak song in sight on Chronozon. Simply brilliant.

All in all it's a pretty good list. But considering that Terrorizer is an extreme metal magazine I was a little surprised to see Killing Joke, Deftones, Therapy? and Mars Volta included. I suppose 4 black sheep out of 40 isn't that bad, but there are plenty of bands more deserving of a spot in the top 40 than them.
