I live about 20 minutes from the beach. But what happens is there is a city in California called Santa Ana which has the Santa Ana caynons/hills in it. The wind blows from the cost into the Santa Ana caynons/hills where they built up momentum then shoot out over hear. I could be wrong about that, but I think I read thats the way it works in a newspaper.

The best part about storms around here is opening my curtains, and windows. Then lighting a few candles and listening to album after album of Agalloch. Its really good to relax to.
