Duncan Pickups helps
I just got this Schecter XXX with two duncan designed pickups.I heard those were shitty pickups and just saw some deals on some Duncan Performance pickups , they have Detonater pickups and Buckshot?.Just wondering if any of those are good.

I personally dont like duncan design pickups, they aint to great sounding unless u have a good amp. Chuck in some new pickups, perhaps a SD custom custom or a invader in the bridge and a 59 or pearly gates in the neck.

you don't even have to go ducan, you should also look into some other pu's like emg,dimarzio, or even gibson.
a nice (new) humbucker is probably going to cost you anywhere from $70-$200 u.s.

go with the invader for your bridge, in my opinion.
if you do go with EMG's, don't, under any circumstances, get HZ's, they are shit pickups, if your go throw down money on emgs, get the active ones, like an 81 or an 85 in the bridge and a 60 in the neck.

i think the 85 is better for the neck than it is for the bridge.
