My Metal Cover Of Fatman Scoop - Be Faithful
www.geocities.com/sevekranz/seve_be_faithful.mp3
This is my metal cover of the popular rap song Be Faithful.
It starts off with a 10 second sample of the original then cuts to my version. I spent only an hour recording, mixing and producing it so it could be better than it is. As a result of little time, the drums aren't nearly as good as they could be and some riffs aren't recorded well either. I also didn't include vocals.
I've got a sh*tty synth part, which I'll replace with an accoustic interlude and eventually clean up the riffs but I think I've done a reasonable job seeing that it's all based on 4 notes from the original.
I'd like some opinions and thoughts about it.
Thanks.

Could I please have some feedback. If you are worried that it's nu-metal rap shit, don't worry because it sounds nothing like the original, and kind of has a strapping young lad sound. I should of called it my interpretation of how it should of been, not a cover.

The main reason I made the song was to piss off the people who listen to top 10 rap stuff in my year. I had the sample in so that when I put it on the stereo in the form room, those people go 'I love this song! Turn it up!', then BAM it's gone from a popular rap song to metal song.

Actually I did use Fruity Loops. I just put and EQ on the bass drum.
I'll try to fix it up next Monday and perhaps record another song, seeing that it's a holiday so I might have some time up my sleeve.
