Instrument Cable Replacement?

I have nylon guitar cables, and I noticed that over time, they get hard spots on them and parts of them will permanently bend slightly. Will that hurt the sound? It really doesn't bother me unless it is affecting the performance.

I wouldnt think so unless it causes a short in the cable. But then you would hear a slight buzz or you would lose gain. Does any of that happen?

Is that a slight buzz as in *slight* solid state overdrive kind of buzz? (Just wondering, 'cause my guitars sound fuzzy and low output since a few days back. It prolly is my cable, eh?)

if it just started doing that its prolly your cables, or a short in the amp itself. but more than likely your cable
