does anyone know if these guitars can play hard metal and death metal
cause if they can i think imma buy one theres a big closeout sale on these models right now for $250 on musiciansfriend.com

$250 for a new guitar from musicians friend?, a pair of nice pickups like active emgs or some nice duncans would cost you close to $200-250.
go on ebay instead. you can get a way better guitar, new or used for the money, then if you need to, you can take the money you saved and buy (a) better pickup(s).
i dont like low end ltd guitars at all.

the low end ltd's do suck, but the higher end guitars are nice, i have a vb-300, and i am very pleased with it.
