In Flames lead sound
Hey guys do you know how to get the lead sound of In Flames on the Jester Race album ?
I know how to get their basic sound, and that they use 5150 Peavey heads, but the lead melodies have a very distinctive sound, such as on Artifacts Of The Black Rain and Jesters Dance.
Thanx !

Damn, i was so close to starting a thread asking the same freakin thing. Cause i really want to know how to get that distortion as well. You mean the one that has that kind of, i dont know, space like sound? Maybe thats not the best way to say it. It is after the rythem does the beginning for artifacts of the black rain and the the lead comes in with that cool sounding distortion, right? yeah, i would like to know specifically how to get that sound too...

I don't know if this will help, but this dude, who lives around here has more guitar gear than the local music sotre no joke (If bassbehometh was still around he could vouch for me), but he has this sinthisiser (sp?) and he can make his guitar sound like a volcano, and all this weird ass shit. So maybe they are using something like that.
I hope this helps, but if im wrong... Sorry.
