we hide from the world
our evil ways
and reveal to them
that we are okay
we put on a veil
a shield against all
and we show them
what they want to see
we hide ourselves
and our pain inside
and give out our happiness
so that no one knows
what is really in our thoughts
no one knows just who we are
do we even know ourselves?
