the idea for the thread title came from a possible title i would give to my solo album if i had one
i have 2 possible names and ideas so far:
-----"It Gives Me Sexual Powers": Cover Art would feature me on the cover wearing nothing but dead sheep skin. The background would be all white, and there would be a dead skinned sheep behind me but visible. I would be making almost the same pose as Ozzy on his "Diary of a madman" cover.
On the back, it would show me getting chased by a bunch of sheep
-----"Lethal Dose of Reality": i don't know if i heard that from somewhere, but if i didn't, it'd show a business guy sitting down in a high-rise office, and a girl standing with her back turned to you, and her holding open her trenchcoat, like as if she's flashing him.
On the back, you can see the perspective from behind the guy, and you learn that the girl is strapped to a bunch of dynamite. whoooaaa!

Here is an interesting thing called PHI.
It is the number 1.618. It is supposed to be the fundamental building
block in nature. Plants, animals and human beings all possess
dimensional properties that follow the exact ratio of PHI to 1.
In a bee hive the females always outnumber the male bees. In every
beehive in the world if you divide the number of female bees by the
number of male bees it always equals PHI or 1.618 females for every
male.
In the sea creature “nautilus” that pumps gas into its chambered shell
to adjusts its buoyancy the ratio of the spirals on its shell is exactly 1.618
times larger (or smaller depending on which way you are measuring them).
The sun flower seeds grow in opposing spirals. the ratio of each
rotations diameter to the next is 1.618.
Spiraled pinecone petals, leaf arrangement on plant stalks,
insect segmentation all display astonishing obedience to PHI.
Measure the distance from the tip of your head to the floor. Divide that
number by the distance from your belly button to the floor. You will end up
with the number 1.618.
Measure the distance from your shoulder to your finger tips then divide
it by the distance from your elbow to your finger tips. PHI again.
Hip to floor divided by knee to floor, finger and finger joints, Spinal divisions, all PHI.
Some people claim that because PHI is so much a part of nature that it proves there must be a god and when he started creating everything
he used PHI in all his structural designs. They say it could not be an accident.
Many of the great artwork by Michelangelo, Da Vinci and others made

Phi is otherwise known as The Golden Ratio (or 1/Phi is at least) and it was first calculated by the ancient Greeks. It is related closely to the Fibonacci numbers (a sequence of numbers generated from 0 and 1 whereby you add the two previous numbers together: 0,1,1,2,3,5,8,13,etc).
One of the earliest examples is the ratio of length to width of the Parthenon in Athens, which also adheres to the Golden Ratio.
The actual value of Phi is:
(sqrt(5) - 1)/2 (which is roughly = 1.618)
The inverse of this (1/Phi), phi is:
((sqrt(5) -1)/2) - 1 (which is roughly = 0.618)
Phi is the only number where it's inverse is equivalent to taking 1 away from it, ie,
1/Phi = Phi - 1
It is this uniqueness that has attracted so much attention towards Phi throughout the ages and in my opinion is a curiosity of mathematics (of which there are many) rather than evidence of a higher being. It is very interesting though.

I don't know what planet ya'll are from, but using letter makes it easier. Numbers make you use a calculator, but with letters, you're just re-arranging them around the "=" sign.

The play's called "Honk!" and its about an ugly duckling...and...stuff happens...and....I dont know, all my friends that are in the play says it sucks really bad. I've never been in a play, although everyone says I should. PFT, fuck that shit. It's bad enough being a fatass at home, I wouldn't want to parade myself on stage like that...

I took QM as a module in the final year of my maths degree and found it quite interesting, although very hard! The course tended to concentrate mainly on the equations that form the basis of QM theory (The Schrodinger Eqn, Heisenberg's uncertainty principle, energy levels in atoms, etc) so we didn't touch on the physical interpretation in too much detail.
Although QM is a stunning theory, I was even more amazed at the guys who formulated it and how they could come up with something so outlandish and abstract. True geniuses.

Harry Kewell is a great player! He's suffering from a dip in form at the moment though, but I think he's carrying an ankle injury so all is forgiven. I played "fiddler on the Roof" in high school. It was fun because during breaks, the guitarist let me play on his axe while everyone listened. He had a nice ditortion. Everyone said I was good .
