the closest i havecome is turining the morph knob 1/4 up, the low knob at about 1/2 or 2/3, and the high almost all the way up, but i have also found that turning the morph knob all the way up sounds quite good as well, a bit more bite

i usually keep my pedal with the morph knob about a third of the way up, the high all the way up, and the low about 3/4 up, and the level to match the bypass volume

Kerry King has the mids on his jcm to about 5-6. So dont cut the mids out

the best CC setting i have yet to come up with is the morph knob at 1-2 o'clock, the low at 4 o'clock and the high at 2-3 o'clock.

Amps are voiced differently, so Kerry's setting will only work for another JCM 800 of the same make.

i usually dont go by other bands sounds unless i am delibrately trying to mimic that band, usually i go with my own sound no matter what, either my setting that i already posted, or every thing else the same except the morph knob all the way up, or something really close.

if you give me some bands, though, i can do my best to get the sound you are looking for and post it up here
