Hey Everyone,

I recently saw a set of Arbiter Flats on the internet and was just wondering if they are a good investment? Do they have good sound quality and what is it's price range? (I could only find foreign prices; yen, pound, etc.)
And just if they are availible in Ontario Canada. Thanx alot!

our drummer has a Arbiter Flat set to practice at home.
They really cost jack shit... I think here (in Belgium) he bought them for about 500 or 600 euros (about the same as USDollar I guess).

It does give a nice volume, I think almost as much as a full acoustic drum. Maybe it misses some of the "fulness" of the sound but it's not bad. If you need the drum for gigging and so, you might as well save another 300 euro/dollar and get the Tama Swingstar

I'm not worried about saving space or weight, but i can get a set of arbiter flats pro for £200 instead of £499.
Is the sound the same as a normal acoustic drum kit or is there a big difference?

As I said man...

It's a very good drum to practise and rehearse with your band, it gives quite some volume...

But it isn't advisable for gigging I guess.

hi, normally i'm a guitar-player but i'm very interested in learning drums just for fun so i'm thinking about purchasing one of these arbiter flats. i like that drumkit because it's so small and i've heard that it's sound is good enough if you're not going to play in a band with it. i'm living in an apartment so i would be good if the drumkit wouldn't be to loud.

i just have one question - is it possible to use a double-pedal on the lite-kit?

Sure, doublekick pedals are no problem. But if you live in an appartment, it will be too loud... You'll need those rubber things that dampen your sound (just like you would need for a regular drum).

ive seen them around and the quality of them isnt too great but thats my opinion....but i dont know why u wouldnt just buy a regular kit??? pearl tama and yamaha have some under $600

well, i need a drumkit thats small and that can be storaged easily and normal drumkits need much more space. and the most digital-drumkits cost a lot more money and they also need more space.

i've heared that the arbiter-flats-drumkit is not as loud as a normal drumkit... hopefully for my neighbours

yes the one ive played didnt seem as loud as a proper kit. although that was a long time ago and i was a drum n00b

I have a full size 4 Piece kit, but I was also thinking of buying a basic Arbiter set(Bass, snare, 1 tom) to play small gigs at school and such where i could just bring in the whole drumset in a bag or two.I listened to some online demos, they seem to sound alright, nothing phenomenal(what can you expect with one head and no shell?) so they are good enough for practice but nothing big.
