alright, well i have a yamaha dg80-112, and there's supposed to be an upgrade for the effects that i can download, but it just doesn't seem to work. i can connect my keyboard to my computer through my midi cables (using the soundcard joystick/midi jack), and it works just fine, but my amp doesn't seem to do shit when i plug it in.

is there something obvious i need to do (set the right channel, etc) to get it to work? all i get is a nice "E5" (error meaning something is wrong with my connection).

took it to a music shop and they hooked me up. feel free to close this.
