Warrior X-model Japan
Just bought mine new 3 months ago have no negative opinions exept it got two flaws:
First of all the first (the thickest of the two) E-string seams to be "touching" the neck, although thats impossible!
When I "slam" it slightly the E-string with the pick it sort of vibrates on the neck...
The first bar on the neck and that metalpin there, the F/F# pin,
is about one half mm from the string!
The wierd thing about this is that I have changed my strings for thicker and
slimmer to see if there is any change - but the flaw still remain!
This happens when playing on the eight' bar and up too, but not B and down.
Fuckin' wierd...
The next flaw is the locks at the top of the head - those metalthingies
are too big too fit, so when locked - they are quite impossible to unlock.
Ever seen these problems?
Not even the seller could figure out what was wrong with it.
36 years as a guitarrist and about 25 as a seller he hadn't seen anything like it...
There is defenatly a flaw, but no reason to explain it.

maybe they're cuz it's made in some factory japan i prefer us made guitars for some reason (they're damn good?).
your first problem sounds like the action is too low.. try raising the string height with the bridge.
2nd problem.. try a hardware store or guitar shop that sells all sorts of guitar parts, and look for ones that fit better.

Yeah I know... but whatever...
I've tried raising the strings, and tried some desperate stuff with the
whammy bar to even out the strings from touching the neck but i doesn't do any good!
Well the locks aren't exactly a problem, they are more like annoying!
But hey, I'm gonna bring it back to the store tomorrow and let them solve
the problem their way. If not - I'm getting a new one!

ah that's probably the best idea.. sounds like it needs to be at least professionally set up.. but usually guitars are set up nicely before they're sold.

well, if your seller didn't notice it, or set it up properly, i would sugest going to a different store where they would notice if they would sell trashed guitars lol

Well, I left it in the storemanagers hands this day.
He checked it up, and it seems that there may be a seriesflaw,
cuz' the two similar guitars that hung in the store had the same faults as mine. I'll get the notice on monday.
So, the conclusion is that either Japan sucks at making guitars or they
just suck at making guitars!

I know, one should order them from the US and
have them shipped over. But still - the profit on that istn't so good after all.
Btw that one is one bad ass guitar like the Warrior!
The Kellymodel is the best looking bass i've ever seen...

has any of you come across a gigbag large enough to contain the warrior? i checked jackson's catalog and the only nylon gigbags they have are for the dinky shape(i already have the hardshell case but it's a bitch to drag along when i have to walk 20 mins to go to my class with it)
the closest i found was bcrich's beast gigbag but it's 1/4" too short

i always liked the way warriors looked but not many people seem to play them, is there a reason for this, are they less reliable than kelly's or something?

Kelly is pro series.. and Warrior is X series.
I do not know the diference though. But the Kelly is a litle more expensive most places.

i find that i always have to set up guitars myself. even if they are staight from the store, i always have to set up a couple things. intonation (sp?) being one of them. i find that i always have to pull the low e string back. and action another, i have never played a guitar with as low as strings as mine. fuck i love my guitar.
