That's something I've been meaning to suggest..
Most images look far too contorted if you resize them to 50x50 for an avatar - maybe 70x70 or 80x80?

That came out the wrong way, I guess. Most images end up being unrecognizable when they are resized to 50x50 - to an extent, anyway. SOME band logos/album covers and such which are square in dimension and all that are fine when resized to that.
Meh, it doesn't really matter though. I'm quite content on having no avatar anyways.

Corel Photo (or is it Corel Draw?) is good for resizing pics, but it works best if its a .jpg file, not a .gif file, as .gif files are usually taked from movies/clips and have less pixels, so the edges of details are fuzzed if resized greatly. At least i think thats how it works.
I think avatars are fine the size they are, but it would be cool if we could have, say a 80x80 pic in our signiture

I don't think you can limit the size of images in signatures. What Nomad would need to do it enable HTML and [img] tags in the signature field. But we don't want that, do we? Nothing worse than 1024x768 images in people's signatures flooding threads.

Just changed the maximum avatar dimentions to 65x65 for members and 80x80 for forum leaders. The image size is 20,000 bytes max.
