Given that EMGs (81, 85) are like soap bars, can you put them into a 7 string and make them work?

EMG make a 7 string pickup called the 707 I beleive.
I think they made it to the same specs as the 81, but for a 7 string. At least, I imagine thats what they would have done seeing as it's probably their most popular bridge pickup.

what happened to him anyway???...cause the bass player is playing guitar for them now i hear...

Dino plays guitar for Brujeria
his EMG 707's are a regular sales model now and they kick quite some ass, tightest 7 string sound I EVER heard... (only heard one with 1 bridge pu... all you need...)

Older fear factory is cool but hate the new stuff. I have to agree that dino has a fat 7 string sound. EMG makes some different 7 string pickups so go to there web site.

Why would you bump this shit thread...
First off contrary to what Def said... the 707 isent tight... its weak and muddy.
Worst pickup ive ever fuckign played, it colors your tone way to much, its harsh as hell.. and has WAY to much treble. Trust me i own a guitar with one in it... My EVO 7 blows that pos away.

the 7-81 does sound sweet. I use it in my seven, and it blows the 707 away....because BLS is right about it being to trebly....but oh well....if thats your sound?!!
