What the hell is going on with Stratovarius?
I read somewhere that Timo K. and Jorg have left Stratovarius, which is now known. But what is all this shit going on with Timo Tolkki. On the strato website, in the news section, he is apologizing about comments he made and saying that he is getting death threats. Also, he says he is getting heavy medication and has hired two bodyguards.
All I heard so far was that many Strato fans thought Tolkki was being a dictator and that he should leave the band, so Tolkki posted messages saying "Fuck off". Also, I guess that was the main issue with the bandmembers, that they want to be involved with the songwriting process.
I don't blame the rest of the band members. Hell, Jens Johanson and Jorg Micheal are both very seasoned musicians. I don't see why they would wanna just be a "hired gun" at this point in their career.

I heard that Timo K. told Tolki that the albums were starting to go bad and that he should really let him be involved in composing songs. Tolki of course said no. It seems he would prefer to put out the same stuff over and over.
Stratovarius' choruses all sound the same:
"MILLENIUM! Where do we go?"
"INFINITY! Where do we go from here?"
Doesn't Tolki catch that? Hell, those songs were on the same album.

This is funny. Tolkki had an interview, and here is a part of it:
(at this point the interview had to be stopped because Tolkki was already so drunk that he could barely talk anymore. His assistant took him to rest and I continued with MissK for a while).

STRATOVAIUS's new drummer Anders Johansson (HAMMERFALL) has quit after one week in being the band, here's the statement from frontman Timo Tolkki:
"Anders gave me a call and said that he doesn't want to join the band permanently and that he is happy to be in HAMMERFALL playing True Metal.
Since I am looking for a permanent member, we agreed in good spirits to go separate ways.
I am very disappointed that he didn't want to join STRATOVARIUS permanently, but at the same time I wish him and the HAMMERFALL guys well and best of luck with their career.
I suspect that the decision of Anders has something to do with my reputation. I can understand him very well, I wouldn't join a band in which I would be playing in.
I have already contacted a Finnish drummer and I hope I can announce his name very soon."

The whole approach to this has been ridiculous.
First, if they were smart, they shouldn't have introduced "Miss K", as they did. Personally, I don't think a female vocal switch is that big of a deal, but they introduced her with pics of her giving the finger and covered in/spewing fake blood. That doesn't even fit the Strato image, let alone for a new person to be doing it.
Second, Tolkki is being a pity whore. He is constantly whining about how everything is so unfair to him.
Even though they have been around for awhile, and are very popular, it almost seems like disbanding would be a good choice, cuz Tolkki has really made the band look bad.

All this crap with Stratovarius, then Nick leaving Dimmu Borgir.... whats up with metal bands? they never seem to be happy.
When I heard Elements 2 I was pretty disappointed, theres nothing new in it :/
