Quick Question
You got a 300 watt head and two 200 watt cabs hooked up. Those cabs wont be overloaded, right? It's 150 per channel if I'm not mistaken. Also if it is that, how do people power walls of cabs? I mean, I wanna do that in my basement!

well i think the rule is if your using two cabinets of equal power you divide the ohm's of the cbainet by 2, so if its a 16 ohm cab you set your head to 8 so it will distribute the correct amount of power for each cab. Not 100% though, try google

as well as what BLS said with the impedance set correctly and the 2 cabnets you will be fine.
and to power walls of cabnets you will need more cabnets and a head per 2 cabs, and then some sort of routing to send a signal to each head, but in your basement, I hope you have earplugs

the walls of stacks you see at bigass gigs are fake.
most of the time theres one or two real ones there and the rest are mock ups, fake amps witch are just a front plate, and cabs that don't have speakers... I saw Metallica and Slayer both had this live, so did Lenny ShitnizzKravitz
your cabs will be fine if you hook up two cabs, just hook them up the way the manual says. either parralel or in-line. (either one output for each cab or one out put with two cabs connected) depending on if you have double outputs

No they don't use fake instruments... but they do use fake cabs and tops... for guitar, their bass amps are real (trulijo only has 2 or something haha) those 6 guitar stacks are fake, 2 of them are real, the other four are fake.
when I saw them they had 12 guitar stacks (each 6) but that was fake, it was easy to see because I had acces to backstage for that festival (didn't meet any famous artist or anything though, metallica are bitches anyways as far as I heard)

yeah, it probably is.
though maybe he's not as fake as hammlet and shitfield
but he probably is.
it's just a 'cool' thing to have a loooooaaaaad of stacks on stage, but the mixed sound goes through the huge PA instead, if the stacks are real and cranked it'll ruine the mixed sound (the stacks are not even on high volume, the STAGE monitors in front of the guitarist are!)

having a "wall of cabs" isnt as great or loud as it looks, trust me, its just a pain to carry around and a waist of space.
me and my other guitarist both play through full stacks, and that gives us more than enough volume to be heard over everything. but if you want to push more cabs than two from one head, you should probably slave another head, or buy a power amp, but each extra head or poweramp can still only push so many cabs.
in my rack, i have a separate poweramp for each of my cabs. one 260w s.s., one 100w tube. both of them can give me plenty of power by themselves, but with them each pushing their own 4x12 cab, i have tonz of headroom and they don't get as hot and overheat.
my other guitarist doesnt have a rack setup, he just has a crate bv120 head pushing two bv 4x12 cabs, and that works great.
real walls of cabs would be pointless, one or two is plenty, shit, i've seen kids gig with little miked combos that sounded fine, or at least when the guy mixing the shit knows what hes doing.

I knew some walls were only the cabs with no speakers but I didn't think guys in those bands did that.

Hell Meshuggah has 2 rack mounts full of crap for all 3 (Bassist and both guitarists) and they have no cabnets, no heads, no amps whatsoever. They all run Line 6 POD Pro XT rackmounts, they let the PA system do all the work.
