Martyr - The perpetual healing of infinite pain(the solo will joyfully slaughter your morale
Cacophony - Go Off! (or Speed metal symphony....good practice stuff)
too hungover to think about anything else right now, might post up a few more later(just check the Toughest song thread:P

Learn songs that "hop" around alot like the 2nd riff in In Flames - Behind Space. Also just pick one faster type riff like (IF is the perfect band to play for getting fast) the intro to Embody the Invisable.

Iced Earth - Travel in Stygian is a rpetty nice song for speed, if you're talking about picking speed. If you're talking fingering speed, then you'd be better of looking at IE solos and such stuff, or, of course, other bands.

Learn Damien by Iced Earth. Its really not that hard. When you learn triplets practice |-0-0-0-| real fast on your low E and start with a downpick evertime you start over. Just get that down cause thats real important in metal. Evertime I Die by Children of Bodom is semi easy. Then theres the black metal thing that will help you with tremolo picking (picking real fast). The only song I find fun to jam to in the black metal genre is Christraping Black Metal by Marduk.

The Black Dahlia Murder "Closed casket requiem" and "Elder Misanthropy", which somebody just posted in the Tab Posting Forum
Shadows Fall 's "Crushing Belial" is great to build up your picking hand
also check out Dying Fetus's "Praise the Lord," there are official Dying Fetus tabs on their website www.dyingfetus.com/tabs.html
