The "Perfect" Band
A couple of my friends and I were discussing if some members of our favorite bands started a side project to create the "perfect" band who would be in it. I thought of a good or great (depends on opinion) death metal band:
Vocals: Nathan Gearhart (Vehemence)
Guitar/Vocals: Matt Harvey (Exhumed)
Guitar/Vocals: John Gallahger (Dying Fetus)
Bass:Eric Longlios (Cryptopsy)
Drums: Tony Langlois (Nile)
What's yours?
P.S: Lord Worm is Back!

I'm pretty sure there was already a thread about this but whatever...I don't know enough about music to be able to put together a perfect band.
PS: NO SHIT?!

I was being sarcastic...because that's all anyone talked about when it happened. Of course I exaggerate...but still.

Thats a good jackass. My cousin always said, "Rex's only purpose is to drink beer and fill the spot of the bass player." And as you know, I think Les is sooooo much better than Rex. I still like the Rex, but I like Les much better. I don't need to stain to hear his bass.

Damn this is another hard one!
Drums - Chris Adler (Lamb of God)
Bass - Geezer (Black Sabbath)
Guitar - Dimebag Darrel (Pantera)
Guitar - Kerry King (Slayer)
Vocals - CAN'T MEMBER HIS NAME! (As I Lay Dying)

i was the dude that started the last thread on this but anyway:
Varg Vikernes (Burzum) - Vocals
Mikael Åkerfeldt (Opeth/Katatonia) - Backing Vocals
Gene Palubicki (Angel Corpse) - Lead/Rhythm Guitars
Joe Haley (Psycroptic) - Rhythm Guitars
Jonas Björler (At the Gates/The Haunted) - Bass
Gary (The Berzerker) - Drums
Even if theres some black metal in there, thats a pretty good death metal line up.
If there was keyboards involved i would have Martin Powell (Cradle Of Filth) handling the keyboards but theres not usually in death metal, so meh.

Thank you. By the way people, if the inclusion of Geezer from Sabbath seems kind of out of place, it was 4 in the morning when I did this and I had "Bassically" stuck in my head.

Les would never get a spot in Pantera..... remember when he tried out for metallica??? That like throwing Steve Vai in Cannibal Corpse....... it just wont work.

Peter Tätgren (Hypocrisy, Pain) : Vocals (The Grunt voice he had on his first Demos)
Chuck Schuldiner (Death, Control Denied) : Lead Guitar
Mike Amott (Carcass, Carnage, Arch Enemy) : Rythm Guitar
Mike Terrana (Rage) : Drums
David Vincent (Morbid Angel) or maybe Jeff Walker (Carcass) : Bass
I think it would be some kind of Melodic Death, Grind thing
or:
Max Cavalera (Sepultura, Soulfly) : Vocals
Dimebag Darrell (Pantera, Damageplan) : Lead an Rythm Guitars
Kerry King (Slayer) : Lead and Rythm Guitars
Dave Lombardo (Slayer) : Drums
Cliff Burton (Metallica) : Bass
I think this would be some asskicking Thrash

Here is my of the top of my head BLACK metal band
Varg Vikernes - Lead Vocals (Burzum, now ambient crap(sure, he's in jail for murdering my Lead Guitarist, but, whattya gonna do?))
Euronymous - Lead Guitar (Mayhem (sure, he's dead, and i doubt he'd want to play with Varg, but meh))
Samoth - Rhythym Guitar (Emperor)
Necro Butcher - Bass (Mayhem)
Fenriz - Drums (Darkthrone)
Im very tired right now, and can probably think of a much better line up, but i will probably forget about this thread by tomorow, so this will have to do.
Here is my Viking/Death band:
Amon Amarth

Lol, that would be really cool but i don´t think that it would work.
Glen would probably rip the heads of the other members off or just kill them in the name of Satan (Haha i really love this guy)!

Drums: Pete Sandoval (Morbid Angel)

I guess I'll make another one:
Vocals/Guitar: Mikael Akerfeldt (Opeth)
Vocals/Guitar: Jim Kjell (Gardenian)
Vocals/Bass: Glen Benton (Deicide)
Drums: Flo Mounier (Cryptopsy)
I know Mikael and Glen has been used once or twice on this thread, but if this guys really got together and made a album...wow

well for the "perfect band" it wouldn't be metal, because you've gotta have robert plant on vocals.

Vocals and Bass: Ross Dolan (Immolation)
Guitars: Terrence Hobbes/Doug Cerrito (either one is fine)
Guitars: Guy from Necrophagist (I wouldn't let the guy write anything, so we can get away from his horrible music. But he's too skilled to simply leave in his own band to write bad stuff...)
Drums: Tom Corn (Lykathea Aflame)

If we could make the dead into zombies this would be an awesome zombie band
Vox/lead guitar- Zombie SRV
R. Guitar- Zombie Hendrix
Bass- Zombie Cliff Burton
Keyboard- Zombie Liszt
drums- Zombie Keith Moon (i dont even know who this guy is, i just looked up dead drummers)
They would headbangang and be decomposing and stuff. It would be cool, but it would smell pretty bad.
As far as living bands
L. guitar-Paul Gilbert (Racer X, Mr. Big)
L. guitar-Alexi Laiho (COB, Sinergy)
Bass-Billy Sheehan (Mr. Big, Vai)
Keyboad-Jordan Rudess (Liquid Tension Experiment, Dream Theater)
Drums-Mike Portnoy (Liquid Tension Experiment, Dream Theater)
Screw vocals I just wanna see the guitar/bass/kb duel things between them.

Tony Laureano. If you're going to correct someone, at least make sure that your suggestion is itself correct.

ha i know this might cause a debate but IMO, Zakk would tear Dimebag up in a straight shred contest (not to say dimebag isnt good, hes amazing as well) so my band would have to be
vox - Randy Blythe (Lamb of God)
guitar - Synester Gates (Avenged Sevenfold (i dunno why the fuck they dont use real names, good music i think though. check his solo on I Wont See You Tonight part 2))
guitar - Zakk Wylde
bass - Cliff Burton
drums - Andols Herrick
sorry guys im still kinda new to metal, im not really deep into a lot of the black / death stuff you guys are talking about yet, though ive been checking them out. so yea, this is my newb metal band

Word on the street is that Kevin Talley left Misery Index and joined Chimara.
Unless I'm mistaken, that's what I hear. Talley is a hell of a drummer, and seeing him with Chimara makes me sad.

Lead guitars- Alexi Laiho (COB), Dimebag Darrel(pantera/damageplan), kirk hammet( old metallica days) and if he was alive Randy Rhodes(ozzy osbourne)
Vocals- Chad (mudvayne), or singer from pantera (i cant remember his name), and singer from lamb of god
Drums- Adrian (COF), drummer from COB, joey from slipknot
these ppl would all be in together and switch of solos, and singing

I call the grim reaper to cut open his head and eat his brain like in the film Hannibal, then cut his throat and stab his chest with scorpians.
Oh Kali
Oh Sekhmet
Oh Dagon.

If it's a non-metal band, you could have Robert Plant and Jimmy Page and just about ANY jobbers and it would still kick ass. Page and Plant rule, and so did Led Zeppelin. Best hard rock/proto-metal band EVER.

i just chose them 2 and randomly thought up good people for the other 3 spots, though thinking about it i'd still rather have JPJ and bonham (if he was alive)
