Digitech Metal Master VS. Boss Metal Zone

Which pedal has a clearer tone that would allow me to play really heavy rhythm while maintaining the quality of my leads?

I play an Epiphone Les Paul custom tuned down to B through a Yamaha DG130 amp head, and X-Audio 4x12 cab. The amp distortion is pretty sweet, but I want something that will push it over the edge.

Tuned to B?
To the case...

Metalmaster is a lot better.

You say you like your amp gain, what about using a decible boost pedal or a treble booster pedal? Or a boost system for your guitar(Seymor Duncan Firestorm or EMG Afterburner are both 25decile boost electronics)
You could possibly get Higher output pickups for your guitar and that would increase the distorton.

Set the Amp gain up for rhythm and then kick in the boost system for solos.

if you get the metal master make sure your current amp can handle that much gain when turned up to a band situation level, my current peavy specail 130 cant handle it at a loud volume at all....but otherwise the pedal fucking rocks if you have an adaptor for it
