I like my Jackson concept. It was roughly $400, and I've had it since '94. Since concept series are discontinued after a few hundred (or most others as well), you should go with a dinky. Or kelly, yeah, you should get a kelly.

i suggest a dxmg at 449.99 or dkmgt at 549.99. dkmgt is a kickass guitar with emg-hz pickups and and a tune-o-matic bridge ifu were smart u would get it

I'd say go for used stuff, and change the pickups. Buying stuff used gives you a neat price while not getting any worse quality than from a factory, really. And non-default pickups are IMO pretty much neccessary for a great sound, unless you go for the US-made series, which would cost you about 6 times more than you want to pay.

I got a used Kelly for $540 (though back then it was more like $400), and then I bought a pair of EMGs on eBay for $127.50. And I think that it sounds great.

Pretty much any Jackson you come across that is priced at over $400 will be bitchin. The thing you gotta remember is that every guitar feels different to somebody else. So, if you can, TRY THE FUCKER first.

Oh yeah, every now and then, a neck-through Jackson will pop up on ebay. So check frequently.

You can probably go with a Dinky Reverse. That was my first Jackson guitar
. It's normally around the $200 range. It ain't the best Jackson, but better than nothing...

I would do wat G_urr_A said and go for used stuff perhaps off ebay or from a local shop. I just bought an Aria pro II guitar and It fucking rocks .

Other than that you could always buy a Ibanez S, off musiciansfriend.com. Those guitars are so fucking good

try a jackson stealth EX guitar, it's an old brand, i think it's getting lower and lower in price...maybe it's close to $550 now. But I dunno if they are still making that type.

Hmm ive played a few jacksons .... one was like £800 and it was the worst thing ive ever heard or played, the sound might of been because of the amp but still the play was bad for me not my style .. I dont really like Jackons ... Ibanez are much better to me .. but you probly have a different feel to me! Check out some Ibanez there is a lot of sexy ones that are like well i wont go in to the feeling detail
