Jazz and Metal

Are there any Jazz/Metal bands? If so, have you heard any and what do you think of them?

i know a band Estradasphere (look down in my signature).

It's not staright Jazz-Metal but it got alot of influence from both style,
You can hear 3 or 4 types of influence in a single song.
There's a sax, violin, upright bass, electric guitar, drum, some keyboard

It's one of my favorite band. They're still very underground so i doubt you can download somehting on Kazaa but you can try...
I suggest: Hungerstrike, Randy desert Adventure,

I think i'll put some on the FTP and let me know what you think.

Heh, yeah. I know those dudes...each person has a list of ten or so instruments they play; on every track. That's a LOT of shit! I remember they came here, but I wasn't able to go because I had another obligation. The tickets were $6, which was amazing.

Personally, i think Martyr has a bit of Jazz influence in their music. Especially the new track Freezer666 sent me.

Candiria are a good example.

Dillinger Escape Plan all started out as jazz musicians and you can tell.

The End is heavily jazz influenced.

Spazz was jazz influenced although they're not around anymore, but their bassist has a side project with Dave Witte, the drummer from discordant axis. They have an awesome jazz/grind instrumental cd out called east/west blast test.

Candiria, Methods of Expression is a good example of candiria's jazz influence.

Le Scrawl. Grindy jazz. Or...jazzy grind.
http://go.to/scrawl

That's the site I believe. The mp3's are on their respective album pages in the discography.

I d/l ed Cloudland by Estradasphere.......HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH it's fucking Mario music!!!!!
Anyway, Gorguts, Cephalic Carnage, and Cryptopsy have some jazzy hooks.

And (Drumroll please...PRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR) SPIRAL ARCHITECHT
the most technical band, I've ever heard. They play a mix of Prog, Metal, and Jazz, quite good IMO.
