What kind of amp should I get?
For three years I've been playing out of a practice amp
and I'm tired of it. I want a good amp but don't know what
kind to get. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

pick up a nice used combo like a marshall or something. don't go overboard and sell the farm for an amp. unless you really need something powerful, for whatever the fuck you would be doing.

I'm lookin for a sound kinda like what the black dahlia murder has or something like dew scented. Some where in the price range of $400-$800

the black dahlia murder play mesa boogie rectifiers. if i were you i'd get a 5150 because they are the cheapest way to get an excellent metal tone.

Yeh if your into Bands like Arch Enemy, In flames, And Children of Bodom get a 5150. Ive seen them all use one.

How much are the 5150's? What power are they? Im playing through a 100W Marshall Valvestate at the moment, gotta look for new amp.

5150's go new for about $900 (head) 5150 cabs go for about $600. and 5150 II heads go for about $950 new.
i don't beleive they make 5150's anymore, but i like the 5150 II better anyways.

yeh they still make 5150's. The 5150 is 120w tube amp.

i know they make 5150 II heads, and 5150 combo's, but i'm pretty sure 5150's arent being made anymore...

just check out ebay and shit, they can get pretty cheap on there, like a 5150 head and a matching cab for under $900 american. thats a good deal.
