12-String Tuning
I am planning on purchasing a 12 string acoustic guitar. One problem though, I have no idea how to tune the back strings so if someone could walk me through it, would be of great help.
And memnoch, I'm sorry i have no idea where to put this thread, it had to do with guitars but tuning could go into Gear, so i dont know what the fuck!!

I really think you're at the wrong board to talk about twelve string guitars considering this is a metal bbs and most people here dont even own a six string acoustic guitar let alone a twelve. But none the less if i were going to guess Id say tune the back strings the same as the normal.
EX:
Low E
Another Low E
A
Another A
get what im saying? 99% chance im wrong because i know absolutely nothing of a twelve string guitar, i think ive played one once about 4 years ago and thought it was stupid.

I know the tuning isnt the same for all of the strings, my best friends dad owned one and most of the strings sounded different than the front ones. I know that the first two strings (high e and b) were both the same but the rest were different. And I would like a guitar that I could just chill with, man.

I have found it and for those few people who own them and for some stupid reason dont know. Each string is (other than the two highest) are tuned an octave higher.
