THE MEMBERS OF DEVOLVED HAVE OFFICIALLY STARTED RECORDING SONGS FOR THEIR NEW ALBUM. DRUMMER JOHN SANKEY HAS ALMOST FINISHED THE DRUM TRACKS FOR THE RELEASE AND EVEN AT THIS EARLY STAGE IT IS SOUNDING HUGE AND TOTALLY CRAZY! ALL GUITAR AND BASS TRACKS WILL BE RECORDED IN THE COMING WEEKS. THE NEW MATERIAL PROMISES TO BE BEYOND ANYTHING DEVOLVED HAVE DONE BEFORE. AN EARLY 2004 RELEASE DATE IS PLANNED WITH NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL TOURING TO COMMENCE SHORTLY AFTER. STAY TUNED FOR MORE DETAILS.

What happened to the supposed 3 part EP release.

I thought they were going to progressively release 3 EPs, and that would make up their new material, so far I have only seen one.

Anyway, it does not matter as I can't wait to hear the new album.


As for other Aussie metal news... (i maybe a bit late on the ball for this one but anyway) Astennu has joined Aussie band Infernal Method (they have some samples on mp3.com) they have a melodic death sound.

I think they decided not to do the 3 EPs because of the time Sankey spent away with Dino

They were working on a second Automation EP, but I don't know what ever happened to that.
