help installing emgs

well my emg 60 and 81 came in today for my jackson js30 dinky, and i decided to at least put everything in place now (cant solder until i go to my friends house in a few days, dont have the stuff). well it says in the directions you shouldnt have the bridge ground wire or somethin installed. When i took the stock pickups out there were screws under the pickups with grounding wires that ran to the controls and were grouded. Is the bridge one the thing they were talkin bout. if so do i just take it out. And for some reason the little metal wire with the green thing on it isnt long enough to connect the volume and tone pots together and still fit in my guitar. ive never soldered before (another reason im goin to my friends house) so would i just cuz that and solder some wire in between to make it stretch farther? other than that i think it wont be that hard.

well i just found out that the wire from under the pickup leads to a grounding thing in the guitar, which also leads to the tremolo, i disconnected it from the trem but do i need to take out out from under the pickups too?

leave it in, take it out, no difference. just don't connect it to your new pickups. the only problem i had when putting mine in was the output jack was barely long enough. not really a big problem but i couldn't put any of the washers in or shit so i have to keep tightening it when it gets loose.
