Neuraxis Rocks !
Hi
I just bought two albums of Neuraxis (a band from Quebec), "... Truth beyond" and "Passage Into Forlorn", and they're fuckin' great ! In my opinion, they're one of the rare bands to make intensive use of melodic riff AND to stay heavy as shit. Plus, the vocals are amazing (they've got everything, from the Dying Fetus-type mumblings to black metal screams). The guitarists use pinched harmonics in a way I had never seen before, and the riffs in general are so good, with occasional 2-3 seconds accoustic interludes. And the drummer is incredible.
Well, I strongly recommand this band to you guys ! Whether you prefer brutal shits or melodic stuff, you'll probably find Neuraxis interesting.
And sorry if there are any mistakes, I usually speak and write in french (I'm from Montreal...)

Well, sorry to bring up an old thread, but better than starting a new one.
I'm sure many of you would have heard their first album 'Imagery'... What are your thoughts on it?
I think it's a fucking kickass album. . . everything is great. . . except. . .
The fucking bass drum(s). Why the fuck is it a click? They have great production on all the other instuments, including other items of the drum kit, but for some fucked up reason the fucking bass drums are literally like 'clicks'. . . And its wrecking it for me .
Does any one know why they did this? Maybe they were trying to be radically different. . but I find that strange for a debut album??

Bahah!
They have gotten better since Imagery too, I fucking love them. Truth beyond is my favorite album, closely followed by Translateral. I love the vocals.
Lyrics are good too.

Dude I think Imagery is their best album. Don't know why exactly, there's something about it that kicks arse and I keep finding myself going back to it. The vocalist on the album is awesome.
Also at the moment I'm enjoying A Passage Into Forlorn more than I ever have. Some great riffs on that one.

Ian and Tommy are cool guys. Met them at DeathFest earlier this year, both were completely drunk.. Ian gave me some Candadian beer, and Tommy and I spent about an hour talking about progressive metal bands. Tommy's keyword is "Spastic Ink" hahahaha

I saw them a couple of weeks ago with Misery Index. Sadly I was shooting tequila while their set was playing.
They are really good though.

Are you fucking serious? Do I have an old version whereas everyone else has a new, re-mastered version?
The kick is not a kick. It is a pen click. You can't miss it. Holy Hell i'm trying so hard to fall in love with this album, the only thing that is stopping me is the kick. . . SHIT!
Trilateral Progression is the shit, kthnxbi.

It's possible. The version I have is part of that Truth Beyond pack where they had the first 3 albums in two discs. If you have an original copy then maybe the production is a little different.

Neuraxis are fucking amazing, I love everything about these dudes; heavy yet fucking unique unlike all these faggot deathcore bands that keep coming out.
