Gentlemen, I looked at the back logs for settings for pantera tone, didn't see any.
I have A Marshall DSL 100 half stack. Boss mt2, Boss Ge7 Eq, and noise supressor.
Jackson guitars KV2. with Seymore duncans. Not sure how to EQ. Found some good settings already for myself. I'm looking for more tips.

Also, how about power brakes. Anyone using them?

I don't see the use of a power brake, just find a good place to rehearse and you won't need it.

as for the dime sound, get a dimewah for the solo's (its one of the only things listed that dime actually uses) and the pickups he uses (BUT NOT THE SEYMOUR DUNCAN ONES!)

on the older albums he uses bill lawrence pickups in his dean's. he still does every now and then, but he's sponsored by S-D now.

that'll get you a sound close to him. the dime-sig stuff is all bullshit, like those warheads and sig guitars.

Does Dimebag not use a cry baby Wah? Im nearly certain he does. I think it would be hard to emulate his sound with a marshall and metall zone since he uses randall, I have the same set up as you 911 except the noise supressor and guitar, ive tried to get a sound close to his but no joy.

Yeah , but what about equalization? On each pedal and on the amp. any suggestions to get close to that kind of tone?
