"Moira"--an epic tale
I wrote this a couple weeks ago and forgot about it ! I'm open to suggestions, ideas , and any other comments you might have. Thanks for reading.
"Moira"
She's lies upon the fallen stone.
The wilted flowers bruised with snow
In such a state of chaos fled
Only to make granite her bed
They came to take her town by force
She fought, fled, stabbed with no remorse--
The villains of the upper tribe
And now she's no longer alive
Paralized they were surprised
There was much evil in their eyes
And they stormed with swords and maces wielding
Some killed their own, they had no feeling
Feared faces of those with which she'd grown
Fighting with passion they had never known
Enemy with advantaged percision
To overcome, take the town , their mission
But as the numbers dwindled down
She and her party came around
To the notion to just destroy what's left
To give them nothing but their own death
They circled the outskirts, the last five,
And set their torches with the evil inside
The sky was brightened like the noon day
As breath slowly was taken away
They lit the outer frame of the guard
They knew there was no more life to mar
From their clan, just those few
Torched the enemy, the warrior few
And the starred pattern they burned at last
Burned inward to the evil and it passed
Like a wild force with a heart its own
Til no one stood and no one roamed
Four fled into the fire's flare
In case an enemy was to be spared
They'd not be taken prisoner by those
So they perished so the story goes
The town glows from the embers left
Not a matchstick evident
Not one breath from either side
Not a single soul alive
