Since some liked the other piece, I decided to put this one on and see what you t hought. I wrote it last year. Thanks for reading and commenting if you chose to. And again this is more something to be read than sung, but I'll take ideas. It's full of metaphors, too.

"Passion Denied " pt. 1

Field of purple asters waving its royal cape.
Touched with the glimmer of a morning frost-
Sequined in the dawn.
A word that cannot be spoken
Lest it take a memory from my mind.
The glow of a new day
Softly flowing across my autumn eyes.
The rapid rememberance flashes vivid pictures
Steadily one after one
Til it freezes a moment in time
And suddenly stops.

I'm unable to express where this heaviness comes from,
Yet I can feel it in every part of me
To the point where another sense is invented.
A fever incurable
Chronically bleeding itself
Through my veins.
No way to transfuse.

Youth's awakened imagination
Part of what was born on thought,
Still and once dormant.
Quietly it took what life was mine
And gave back to me-
Something irreplaceable.
A moment in time to ponder
In the dullness of winter.
A thornless rose scented in love
Forever preserved between the pages
In the middle of my life.
Oh, sweet sound.

Wave of sparkling purple velvet
Outside my window
Glistening in earth's tears.
I can feel the incompleteness touching me.
Missing the last note in my song
But I don't really want it found-
So it will continue its life.

I see from looking at this that I have a long way to go as far as expanding my vocabulary in songwriting. You're really eloquent and the song has great imagery. I can't really relate to the meaning of the passage, but the text is complete, cool, and can really put the reader behind the eyes of the writer. Very nice.

Agent Orange-- Well, if you look at it you'll notice there's no 'dictionary' words in it. I don't like to write like that usually. Glad you liked the pictures there.
It 's about pondering about someone I cared about and remembering them brings warmth when I feel cold inside, thus the winter reference. The word not spoken being one of the end of the relationship. The rose was just a gift between us. And I threw the asters in cuz if you ever get the chance to see a whole field of New England asters it's a beautiful purple sight.
