Pitch Pedal

after i finally figured out how the hell to change the pitch on my digitech gnx3 i started to play some in flames and noticed that tuning it down a step caused the notes to sorta fade in, i can turn the pitch shifter on and off and plainly hear this. It doesnt happen when i tune it up, or not that i can hear anyways. So im lookin to get some kind of pitch pedal that will let me tune up and down by half steps. Anyone have any suggestions?
