i take it u got that Ran guitar !!! hell yea, whats it like?
anyway the amp is made for down tuned guitars etc cos its got quite good low end but it'll still work well with standard tuning, i suggest if u wanna find out, try the amp with a guitar in standard tuning!!! makes sense

tried messing about with the presence stuff?

I know a guy who uses it with a ibanez uv7 and it sounds great... ofcourse, a 7 string'll sound better then a detuned 6, in the lows...

I've heard the warp 7 with EMG 707's too, sounded even better. I've never played the warp 7 with a six string though. so I don't know about that, I guess its made for 7 strings anyway (duh)

I have played a V with an '81, through a marshall TSL100, must say it kicked quite some rear end.

but the warp 7 is definetly not a heap of shit.

edit: I suggest you try for yourself, it might just depend on what tuning/guitar you're using, I'm not too fond of tuning 6 strings lower then D because they tend to sound muddy real fast. if I want lows I'll grab a 7...

Def, why would a 7-string have tighter lows than a detuned 6-string?

becuase you dont have to tune a string wih is made to sound as an E to D, C, B, A or what ever you want. on a 7-string you have a string that is made for being tuned to B

Yup, plus EMG 707's and pickups on the Ibanez UV are made for 7 strings, so they'll handle the b string differenty..

I read alot of reviews and people say the output fucking sucks.
They also complain about te distortion channels sounding lower than
the clean channel. Also I would like to ask where can I get the same
RAN guitar Peter uses from Vader?

its not that bad really, considering the price. and the fact its solid state, i'd say it sounds pretty good.

the main reason your shit sounded muddy was probably because you tune down to B, if you had a 7 string or a baritone, you probably wouldnt have that problem.
another problem could have been the settings you use.

anyone here have the WARP 7? Is it really loud enough to gig with it?
I'm tired of practicing with a 15 watt crate and I wanna get a amp since I'm
looking for jobs and shit.

I've played it and our guitarist have played it live, it IS loud enough to gig with and ofcourse to practise with. on a gig your amp will be lined to a PA system though. but the sound on stage doesn't only come from the monitors, also still quite a bit from the amp itself. it did quite well.

depending on the size of the PA system, any amp is loud enough ,
but the warp 7 halfstack should hold its own pretty well for gigs and pratices, better than your practice amp.
