Strat: A new friend?
I just got my first electric guitar.
A used Sunburst Fender '98 Strat for $800 CAN. It's got 22 frets on it too!
Time to put my acoustic away for awhile and to start hitting them solos!
Oh, i'm still looking for an amp. My fault.

Sweet. If I were you I'd put some active pickups on it and get an Iron Maiden sound. I'm one of the few metalheads here that like strats though...

My fat-strat is doing fine with metal.
My next guitar will have two humbuckers though, but that is also because I wont bother buying a new strat-type guitar...The one I have is good enough.
I don't know if maiden is using active pic ups... The ones at their guitars looks very much like original. The original should be good enough.

Plus the guitarist from Marduk uses Strats.
