Hi, this might be a stupid thing but:

I need to record some slow (and mid-tempo) deathmetal riffs.

The shit is, when I play very slow but palm-muted chords, you hear these very annoying slide sounds (not a real slide, rather something like a pick slide sound but not that bad, because its with your fretting hand) when you take another chord.

Like play this

--6--3--
--4--1--
--4--1--

palmmuted with a small silence inbetween. This sliding to the second chord really gives a shit sound... lifting fingers and replacing them is also not totally clean
(high distortion probably makes these things sound louder as usual?)

From what you describe I think I may be able to help alittle. More Distortion + volume will amplify everything you do. If you have a gatethresh (something that blocks out all sounds besdies an actual note picked, sometimes called something else) that may help. I've never really heard of this but your pick ups may be to sensitives

you could try a boss noise suppressor, i have one and it works wonders for my rig.
or if your cheap you could buy the rocktron hush pedal, i think its like half the price and almost as good.
