A real top ten
You know Writing a good solo is pretty challenging but improvising one is way more
difficult. So my definition of a good guitarist is one who can play and make good shit up off the top of their head. That's real talent.
Technical stand point and improv talent
1. Joe Satriani
2. Steve Vai
3. Petrucci
4. Eddie Van Halen
5. Ywgnie Malmsteen
6. Stevie Ray Vaughan
7. Zack Wylde
8. Angus Young (simple shit but geniusly put together)
9. Mark Tremonti (the most underated guitarist in rock, just cause you don't like a band doesn't mean it doesn't have talent)
10. Carlos Santana ( just cause he is not a show off, doesn't mean he couldn't be)
