No it doesn't. I like a lot of jazz influenced bands (like Testament) and I like some straight up jazz every once in a great while. Carvin makes beautiful jazz axes along with Music Man and Ibanez

funny, i was also planning on buying a jazz axe sooner or later. I think they are beautiful. Gretch and Hofner make great ones, i couldn't tell you price ranges, but like all of their guitars, if you want a good guitar, for relatively cheap, you'll prolly have to just go with ibanez.

i saw a nice samick one a year ago. it was one of those only ones without the gay holes for picks to fall in. It was fairly cheap 2 if i recall.

Gretch are expensive as hell... and Carvin's aren't terribly expensive, but they're beyond 3-500. I'd go with Ibanez.
