Death metal in FUCKING A tuneing
Suckers u guys who thought i couldent do that well u where WRONG!!!! at first i took your advice so i went to D. i had a whole song on the guitars and showed it to my drummer and the other guys we played it in and had a break. i was still playing when everybody went to eat. so just for fun i tuned to A and played the same song the guys where fucking amazed. before we sounded more like Black metal But Know Hehe its Death. No the strings to not go flopping around and makeing unwanted noise and where not haveing any problems. HEHE SO "A" BIG FUCK U TO EVERY ONE HEHE so long

You probably already had heavier strings in.
Oh, and good luck with A tunning live. It will sound grutteled, low, and blurry if you dont have really good equipment.

What size strings are you using then? I never tuned in A before though, so I can't say it doesn't work.....

I tuned to A once... i have those thing zakk wylde strings so i could play good without floppy strings, except for one thing.... It sounded like a fuckin elephant fart. With strings that thick, and tuning that low.... is it even condisered a guitar anymore??

I play all my deathmetal in D. and not gay drop D tuning.
tuning to A, man, that'll sound muddy as fuck live. then again, even nile had muddy guitar sound live.

So wait a second Def, I have a question... when you tune to D then is it only your top string you drop and that's it? I didn't get what you meant by you don't drop D. Do you just tighten the strings or some shit? Sorry if my question is stupid but I didn't understand what you put.

drop d would mean: only the low e is dropped to d
tuning to d means: all strings are dropped one whole step
