ok well ive been plugging my guitar/pedal into my pc it sounded muddy and like shit so, i got a splitter, so it runs from my pc, to amp/pedal, then other chord runs to guitar. but it still doesnt pick the amp up, its the same shitty muddy pedal sound, what am i doing wrong?

Try running a mic to your cabnet you'd get a better sound.
