Right now i plug my ibanez SA(EMG-81) i believe into my guitar pedal(toneworks multi-effect) straight into my computer. When i record using (acid dj). The distortion sounds like ass. Its so fucking distorted and crappy. WHat can i use to get the distortion to sound decent? It sounds good amped but all i have is a soundcard plugin.

i forget how this works, it was explained before. But eitherway, the effect pedal you have is not an amp modeller, its not equipped with both pre-amp and power-amp. Since one of them is missing, when you plug into your computer straight from the effects pedal, it will be weak. You could either go out and buy which ever one your missing (i forget which one it is, i'm sure someone will know), or you could get an amp modeling effects board, or just mic it coming out of your amp.

Or try to see what sound card u are using.
Try to get a mixer and hook it up with the 2 inputs available
with the sound blaster audigy 2 external peripheral device.
Its cheaper and doesn't cost as much as spending 800
bucks on PC Recording stuff.
