Connecting your guiitar to your comp
i just bought 2 adapters to try and connect my guitar to my sound card
one is:
Plug Adapter (accepts 1/4" phone plug, Fits 1/8" mini phone jack
the other:
Audio Adapter (accepts 1/4" mono plug, fits 1/8" mono jack
is any of these the right kind of adapter?

yeah, the 'audio' adapter, its basically a guitar type jack 1/4' to a minijack 1/8 converter.
you can hook up your amp-out to your computer, or the output of your fx pedal.

yes, but it won't sound super since theres no pre-amp, ahem, you'll have to add the distortion too.
but yeah, I guess you can, it worked for my basses so.

hmm...well ive been trying all morning to try and get this thing to work but i cant seem to make it work, i've tried connecting it to the line in and mic outlets in the soundcard but i dont get any sound in the computer, im trying to use Guitar FX Box 2.6, do you know what could be wrong?

you need to use the mic in.
check your windows mixer, go to start->programs->accesoires->entertainment
check the mic settings and click advanced, click mic 10db up, and use the slider to get the right volume.
I don't know the program you're using, so I can't help you out with the program itself, sorry.

i think i figured out whats wrong, the adapter has to be a 1/4" mono to 1/8" stereo converter :P
shit i have to go back to fucking radio shack tomorrow...

yeah, but it sucks...save 100 bucks and buy a 50 dollar mixer from Behringer
and a Audio Technica mic.
