Tuning for 'Death'
I'm not sure but when I tune my guitar a whole step down, it seems lower than
what I hear on the Death's music.
I play Chuck's stuff with standard tuning and it sounds pretty good to me.
All the tabs out there are lowered a whole step.
Perhaps it's the gear that Chuck uses? I have a Fender Tele and crap amp.

Yeah, i'll just have to get used to it. I don't really like my strings any 'looser'
than standard tuning. I seem to get some buzzing with D tuning.
I'm still a newb but if you up the string gauge (thicker) I should get a 'tighter' feel
right? (When I tune down).
What do you think?

yeah when you tune down its better to have thicker gauges and if your strings still buzz after you get the thicker strings (if you do that is) then raise you action a little cause you probably have fret buzz
