I got lots on my mind. This is more poetry than song, but lemme know what you think. Thanks a lot.


" Long the Time "

Long the time behind me.
I travelled this far without insight.
I missed that calling long ago,
And the pressure disturbed my sleep
For awhile.
Time doesn't treat me kindly
As age takes what is rightfully its own.
Dreams become fragmented pieces of cutglass.
They are ice blue crystals in sunlight
And I try to put the pieces together
To rebuild what I had once felt inside.
My hands are bloodied
And, try as I might, the pieces don't fit.
I don't fit.
Neither in past nor present.
And each night as I lay down I wonder
Where all this will finally end.
