Hey,

Can someone give me a small list of the thickest gauge strings that are available commercially. I've heard of low end strings being as thick as 70 or 80, but I haven't been able to find them anywhere. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Give me ONE GOOD REASON why you want thick strings, then maybe i'll tell you.

My guitar is in Standard tuning down a fifth to B (BEADF#b) and I've been playing a .56 on the low B, but it isn't giving me a heavy enough tone. I'm in a Death-Grind band, so I want the sludgiest tone I can get. However, I don't need your help anymore as I've settled on the Zakk Wylde GHS series, 11-70. Thanks anyways.

EDIT: I was gonna go with a mix of strings and put an 80 on the top, but I figured that might prove quite tedious to play on.

Get the Zakk Wylde strings even his lighter sets r fuckin thick as hell.
