A number between brackets USUALLY means a natural harmonic, like your (16).
The rb-r...well, again USUALLY r means either "rest" or "release", while b means "bend".
So, you would bend the 17, then release and bend and release....sounds really "not" right, but whatever.
But then again, i could be totally wrong because the person who tabbed the tab you're looking at might be a moron.
