Straker, you are analyzing my comments way too critically.
It is for the best. They have made so much shitty music over the years. Odds are, anything new they put out will be better. They probably don't need to be a black metal band anymore. Wow, I agree with weijia on something.
Venom is and never was "black metal". Neither was Mercyful Fate, nor was Celtic Frost. Black Metal bands just claim these guys as major influences.

I have to say also that venom arn't black metal, they just give it a starting nudge in the right direction. Its ok doctor, there's loads of good BM left, Marduk, Dark funeral, Carpathian forest, Emperor to name a few, granted Emperor have split up buit they still rule.
Also Slyme, I wouldn't have said that stuff to little penis if he had just kept his daft arsed comments to himself, i mean if u don't like a band, fair enough, don't go getting on your high horse and slagging one off when they split up, it just pisses people off.

And I am happy that Immortal broke up before they went all crappy. Not that they were going to, but we all know of bands who should've broken up after a certain album.
